Overview
The Automation Engineer Lead plays a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency by developing and maintaining automated solutions within our IT infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to optimize operational processes across Linux and Windows environments.
- Implement and manage Ansible for configuration management by writing playbooks and roles.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for seamless builds, deployments, and testing.
- Automate virtualization tasks, including the deployment and optimization of virtual machines using VMware.
- Automate system-level administrative tasks and monitor performance across servers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and automate manual processes.
- Document automation scripts, workflows, and operational processes thoroughly.
- Provide solutions for run operations, networking backup, health checks, and IT infrastructure automation.
Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of experience in automation and system administration.
- Proficiency in at least three scripting languages, including Shell Scripting, Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins, for automated deployment processes.
- Experience with GitHub for code management and collaboration.
- Solid background in virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
- Expertise in Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively within teams.
