Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect networks, systems, and applications.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
- Conduct forensic analysis and root cause investigation of security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into software development and cloud environments.
- Automate security tasks using scripting languages and security tools.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats, attack vectors, and industry best practices.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, with hands-on expertise in security engineering.
- Strong knowledge of network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM, DLP, endpoint protection).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability management, and threat detection.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong understanding of cryptographic techniques, authentication mechanisms, and access controls.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, ELK Stack) for security monitoring.
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, OSCP, or AWS Security are a plus.
- Experience with zero-trust security models and microsegmentation.
- Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
