Overview
The GCP Data Engineering Lead will play a vital role in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. This position involves hands-on experience with key data components, ensuring the smooth functioning of our data systems, and collaborating closely with various teams to support business requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines using GCP data components.
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and conduct User Acceptance Testing.
- Optimize data infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with data security and governance best practices.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to manage the project lifecycle, including code repository, build, and release management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with GCP data components such as BigQuery, Data Fusion, Cloud SQL, etc.
- Strong understanding of Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.
- Experience managing the DevOps lifecycle of projects, including code repository, build, and release management.
- Good SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with Data Security, Compliance, and best practices.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Project Documentation.
- Certification in GCP or relevant areas is a plus.
