Key Responsibilities
- Provide troubleshooting and support for customers and engineers in networking and related areas.
- Lead technical problem management and resolution efforts, collaborating closely with end customers and support staff.
- Develop action plans to investigate and resolve complex issues, clearly communicating these to engineers and relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in after-hours remote support rosters as needed.
- Identify and contribute to projects aimed at improving product support, customer satisfaction, and team efficiency.
- Contribute to team performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
- Produce technical documentation and issue resolution documents.
- Engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving discussions and solutions.
- Foster relationships with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or a related field.
- Preferred certifications in networking technologies (e.g., Riverbed, F5, Bluecoat, VMware NSX).
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in network troubleshooting and support for networking products such as routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls.
- Core technical knowledge of Cisco networking products and familiarity with at least one of the following: F5, Riverbed, Bluecoat, or Checkpoint.
- Understanding of network technologies including Routing, Switching, Security, and Network Management.
- Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, L3VPN, MPBGP, Data Center technologies (Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus), and Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, SDN/SDWAN).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficient in multiple operating systems including Windows and Linux.
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Analytical skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with networking tools and technologies such as F5, Riverbed, and Bluecoat.
