Overview
The Linux UNIX Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining and managing our Linux and UNIX systems, ensuring high performance and availability. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor Linux/UNIX systems to ensure system integrity and availability.
- Implement and maintain system configurations, security, and service management.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize system performance.
- Perform regular system upgrades and patches.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Develop automation scripts to improve system operations.
- Participate in on-call duties to support system operations.
- Document processes and write technical guides for team members.
Requirements
- 4 – 6 years of experience in Linux/UNIX system administration.
- Strong understanding of server architecture and configuration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Familiarity with network protocols and security practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, LPIC) preferred.
