Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic PMO Analyst to join our ERP Programme team. This role will work directly with the ERP Programme Manager, PMO Executive Manager, and Stream Leads, supporting the ERP PMO, ensuring alignment to the firm’s PMO policies and processes, and supporting day-to-day activities across the programme.
Who You Will Work With:
This role sits in the Programme Management Office (PMO), which provides stewardship of the firm’s global investment portfolio, ensuring the investments advance the firm’s strategy, are effectively governed, and the outcomes delivered. The PMO works across the firm’s governance model, collaborating with the firm’s executive leadership to define, organise, govern, and deliver transformational change in a coordinated and effective way.
The PMO provides a central location and expertise to support, enable, and deliver the firm’s transformation strategy. These changes may affect all functional and geographic areas within the firm (including both legal and non-legal teams) and, as such, there are multiple complex projects and programmes that require sophisticated yet pragmatic programme and change management to ensure the delivery of successful outcomes and maximum business benefits.
The PMO establishes and oversees the institutional framework that ensures the firm’s initiatives are strategically aligned, suitably prioritised, resourced, and effectively governed. Overall, it sets the environment that increases the likelihood of successfully delivering the intended business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
The PMO services include:
- Governance and pipeline management: Project selection, delivery, and review.
- Insight and tools: Reliable and consistent management information supported by organisational learning.
- Controls: Portfolio-wide, milestone, benefit, risk, and issue monitoring supported by a lifecycle-driven stage gate process.
- Methodology & Tools: PMO process and tool information and guidance.
In this role, you will bring a balance of best practice knowledge, practical experience, and stakeholder empathy to enhance and improve the PMO, becoming a source of information on project delivery and providing insight across PMO data.
What You Will Do:
- Provide PMO support to the ERP Programme and Governance Boards.
- Handle reporting and data management, including monthly management reporting and updating reporting decks for Senior Leadership.
- Support Clarity management and enhancement.
- Review, monitor, analyse, and report programme/project information.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance project management processes, tools, and methodologies for optimisation.
- Track and analyse financial data (budget, forecast, actuals) across the programme.
- Collaborate with PMO roles supporting portfolios to establish standard and consistent PMO processes and governance.
- Follow up with PMO Liaisons, Programme/Project Managers on project deliverables.
- Develop and implement project performance metrics and KPIs for progress tracking and improvement.
- Offer guidance, support, and mentorship to project teams to overcome obstacles and achieve outcomes.
Required Experience & Skills:
Must-Have Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience of working within a department/enterprise-wide PMO.
- Experience of working directly with teams in Delhi and the United Kingdom.
- Experience of enterprise PPM tools, with Clarity preferred.
- Data analytics skills and experience with dashboarding tools such as Power BI, drawing conclusions and insights from data.
- One or more recognised portfolio, programme, or project management qualifications, e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, P3O, M_o_R, PPSO, APM PMQ, RPP, PMP, or PMI.
- Patience and empathy to work with people subject to various pressures and demands.
- Experience working with senior members of staff.
- Keen eye for detail and ability to maintain a high standard of work.
- Proactive mindset, able to self-identify tasks and activities, and work in a logical and methodical manner.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to challenge and question constructively.
- Experience operating PMO processes and a strong desire to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to manage, capture, log, and manipulate data, while also making sense of the data and “joining the dots”.
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and get things done.
