Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Engineer to join our data-driven team at NCG. In this role, you will be at the forefront of transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that power digital and marketing strategies—specifically in the pharmaceutical industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust data models, ensuring data integrity, quality, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale social and marketing data to measure campaign effectiveness
- Design, build, and maintain data models for reporting and analytics in Tableau
- Perform data cleaning and transformation using advanced Excel techniques
- Write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate structured data
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and provide actionable insights
- Document data models, processes, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing
- Monitor data quality and resolve inconsistencies across datasets
- Keep abreast of emerging trends and tools in data engineering and the pharmaceutical space
- Support onboarding, participate in stakeholder meetings, and assist in face-to-face interviews as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data analysis, or data modeling
- Proven experience working with SQL and Tableau or similar reporting tools
- Expertise in Excel, especially for data manipulation and cleanup
- Familiarity with data trends and experience translating them into business insights
- Good-to-have: experience with AWS Glue and cloud-based data processing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Domain knowledge of the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Experience working in agile teams and with cloud data platforms
- Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data governance
